About this Church
First Baptist Church Van Alstyne (FBCVA) is a historic Baptist church that has served the Van Alstyne community for over a century. Over the last 5 years, FBCVA has undergone rapid change and growth. We have seen an influx of people from all over the spectrum of age and stage. We believe this is due to the rapid growth of the community, as well as God specifically using His church to grow his Kingdom. In 2024, FBCVA opened their brand-new facility that houses worship services, midweek activities, and a children’s academy. The move to the new facility marks a new chapter in the life of this church as we seek to serve this community faithfully. We average around 400-500 people on a Sunday. We desire to be a church that Loves God supremely and fosters love for each other and our community.
About the Role
The Children’s Minister is directly responsible for leading, directing, and overseeing all aspects of the Children’s Ministry (encompassing birth – 6th grade) at FBCVA, focusing on the spiritual formation of children. With proven leadership abilities, this position will oversee the current preschool director and children’s administrator to execute current ministry programs/events, while being innovative to engage children and families. The Children’s Minister will lead, oversee, and/or implement all ministry programming on Sunday morning and Midweek (Wednesday Evening)
