Our Heart on Revitilization
At the Grayson Baptist Association, we believe every church matters and every church can take a next step toward greater health and Gospel impact.
Our goal is not to evaluate from a distance, but to walk alongside pastors and church leaders with encouragement, clarity, and practical support. We want to help you discern where your church is and what God may be calling you to next.
The GBA Revitalization Process
When a church reaches out, we follow a simple and intentional process designed to listen well and serve wisely:
Step 1: Initial Request
A church reaches out expressing a desire or interest in revitalization support through our online request form below.
Step 2: First Meeting & Conversation
Our revitalization team meets with the pastor and key church leaders to hear the story of the church.
Our goal in this meeting is to:
• Listen carefully
• Understand the unique history, challenges and story of your church
• Learn about church leadership, culture and ministry dynamics
During this step, we will walk you through the process and resources available.
Step 3: Assessment & Next Steps
Following the first meeting, church leaders complete a detailed digital assessment designed to help identify both strengths and areas needing attention.
The assessment explores areas such as:
-
Mission & Community
-
Evangelism & Guest Integration
-
Discipleship & Spiritual Health
-
Ministries & Service
-
Stewardship & Finance
-
Leadership & Governance
Step 4: Assessment Review & Feedback
Once assessments are completed, our team reviews both the assessment responses and objective church data to gain a fuller understanding of the church’s health and direction.
We then meet again with church leadership to:
-
Provide a unified summary of findings
-
Celebrate areas of strength
-
Identify key opportunities for growth
-
Recommend possible next steps or revitalization pathways
Step 5: Ongoing Support
We stay connected through regular check-ins and continued partnership, helping your church take steady, faithful steps forward. This may also include coordination with our Care Team for additional support.
